Original Beans Chocolate

With rich, sweet notes of caramelized orange and toffee, this Tanzanian chocolate is a true taste of the Udzungwa Mountain National Park forests it comes from. Luscious on its own, this chocolate is even better paired with any Blue Bottle coffee. Together with their growers and customers, Original Beans has preserved and grown millions of trees through their One Bar : One Tree program.

US$2.50

Hot Chocolate

Sweet and creamy dreaminess with a base of fresh milk (non-dairy alternatives are also available).

US$6.00

Sweet Latte

Our lightly sweetened latte blends our chocolaty Hayes Valley Espresso with velvety steamed milk and muscovado, a wonderfully dark, unrefined sugar with a molasses-like flavor.

US$9.00

Caffè Mocha

The tradition of combining coffee, chocolate, and milk or cream dates back to eighteenth-century Turin's Caffè al Bicerin. We source our chocolate from local purveyors, a different one in each city.

US$9.00

Americano

Similar in strength to a pour over, our Americano also boasts the rich flavor of our bold, ristretto-style espresso.

US$6.00

Winter Latte

Notes of woodsy juniper and a dusting of pink peppercorn

US$9.00

Cappuccino

Our cappuccino is made in the modern style, balancing our full-bodied espresso with velvety steamed milk—not the stiff foam cap of yore. In specialty coffee circles this newer style is sometimes called a "'flat white." But we consider it the new cappuccino standard.

US$7.00

Caffè Latte

One of our most popular drinks, our latte turns our assertive, chocolaty, organic Hayes Valley Espresso velvety-sweet with a long pour of densely steamed milk.

Discover Blue Bottle Coffee

Blue Bottle Coffee at 555 S Alexandria Ave, Los Angeles, CA, is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves quality coffee and a unique, cozy vibe. The location, right in the heart of Los Angeles, offers a perfect escape for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. What makes this place stand out is its commitment to delivering freshly brewed, artisanal coffee that has earned it a strong following among locals and visitors. From their signature coffee blends to their comfortable atmosphere, Blue Bottle Coffee offers more than just a cup of coffee; it’s an experience.

When you walk into Blue Bottle Coffee, you’re immediately struck by the minimalist yet welcoming decor. The clean lines, large windows, and simple wooden accents create an inviting space that makes you want to settle in for a while. The ambiance is relaxed, perfect for enjoying your favorite coffee or catching up with a friend. Whether you’re grabbing a quick espresso or lingering over a cup of their famous drip coffee, the space feels like a home away from home. It’s easy to see why this spot has become a staple for those who appreciate quality, whether they’re working or just enjoying a moment of peace.

The menu at Blue Bottle Coffee is focused on showcasing their expertly crafted coffee. One of their standout offerings is their classic New Orleans-style iced coffee, which combines sweetened condensed milk with the rich, cold-brewed coffee. It’s a refreshing treat, especially in the warmer months, and a favorite among regulars. If you’re more of a traditionalist, the pour-over coffee here is top-notch, brewed with precision to highlight the coffee’s natural flavors. They also offer a selection of espresso-based drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites, all prepared with the same attention to detail.

For those with dietary preferences or restrictions, the cafe also offers a selection of dairy-free milk options, including almond and oat milk, which pair perfectly with their coffee. Their pastries are a great complement to the drinks, with fresh, flaky croissants and sweet treats that change regularly, keeping things exciting for repeat visits. Many customers rave about the almond croissant, which is buttery, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside.

What sets Blue Bottle Coffee apart from other coffee shops is their dedication to sourcing high-quality, sustainable beans. They work closely with farmers to ensure they’re getting the best beans available, often from smaller, family-owned farms. This commitment to sustainability and quality means that every cup of coffee you enjoy has been carefully crafted from start to finish. The freshness of the beans is a noticeable difference, and the result is a smoother, more flavorful cup of coffee that stands head and shoulders above mass-produced options.

But it's not just the quality of the coffee that draws people in; it's also the knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always eager to offer recommendations or chat about the different coffee options available. The staff's deep understanding of the coffee they serve helps elevate the experience, making it more than just a coffee stop but a learning opportunity for anyone looking to expand their coffee knowledge.

Despite its popularity, Blue Bottle Coffee never feels overcrowded, partly due to the spacious layout and calm atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a quiet moment alone or meet up with friends, the environment is perfect for both. The location on S Alexandria Ave, in such a vibrant part of Los Angeles, makes it an easy place to swing by for a quick coffee pick-me-up or a long, leisurely visit.

  • I’ve been to many locations but I had to write this review because the baristas at this location compared to other locations I’ve been to are notably more friendly and efficient with orders. It is also nice that it’s not too loud or busy. There’s always plenty of seating available inside and outside, and I noticed the back patio is open as well! The ambiance is nice overall and uplifting. The perfect space to sit back enjoy your coffee, do a little work, or meet friends. The drinks I’ve had here are made well consistently and I have no complaints. The new breakfast sandwich with the freshly cooked egg is DELICIOUS and relatively healthy. My go-to drink here is their iced cappuccino with added muscovado syrup (the brown sugar syrup that comes in the sweet latte) however their new and exclusive Nola Cold Foam drink is my latest obsession! Looking forward to my next visit. Best solid consistent Cafe in Ktown

  • Besides the coffee being truly great, I especially, especially, especially recommend the waffles! They’re absolutely delicious—by far the best waffles I’ve ever had in my life. Not a sponsored post! They were so good that we even asked the guy to come out and take a photo with us—he’s really amazing!

  • Stopped by this cafe for a quick coffee before heading to LAX and wow, what a find! The place is super cute, clean, and has such a chill vibe. Lada helped me out, and she was amazing. So friendly, professional, and just easy to talk to. She made their signature NOLA Cold Brew, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in LA and hope Lada is there. She really made the visit special!

  • I had a 5-star dine-in experience at Blue Bottle Coffee. The banana loaf was moist and flavorful, pairing perfectly with the rich warmth of the oat milk latte (warm not hot upon request). The staff, though nameless in my memory, were friendly, enhancing the overall enjoyment of my visit. I highly recommend this spot for a cozy and delicious coffee break!

  • I like my coffee to have a rich coffee flavor, without the acidic aftertaste, and not watered down and Blue Bottle delivered. I ordered the NOLA Float and it was delicious. Great coffee flavor, with some sweetness and creaminess from the ice cream. The service was great and the barista was super nice. I definitely would come back for the NOLA Float.

  • When i tried Blue Bottle for the first time in Manhattan, I was blown away. However, i was really disappointed when i tried it again in Tokyo and Fukuoka. But this location totally renewed my faith in Blue Bottle again. I loved the atmosphere of this location. It is close to the hustle and hustle of LA K-Town. I ordered Ice Nola. It was so good.
